welcome

The Underwater Acoustics Conference and Exhibition (UACE2023) is a well established scientific forum for exchange of recent research results, for discussion of future challenges in implementation and application of underwater acoustic technologies, and for the presentation of the latest advances in relevant instrumentation.

The “UACE2023” is the new edition of a series of Conferences started in 2005 by Leif Bjørnø and John S. Papadakis under the title UAM - ‘Underwater Acoustic Measurements: Technologies and Results’, (Heraklion in 2005 and 2007 – Nafplion in 2009 – Kos in 2011). In 2013, UAM was merged with the European Conference on Underwater Acoustics (ECUA) which was initiated by the European Commission in 1992 and the title changed to UACE- ‘Underwater Acoustics Conference and Exhibition’. Under this title, the first five Conferences were held in: Corfu (June 2013), Rhodes (June 2014), Chania, Crete (June 2015), Skiathos (2017) and Hersonissos Crete (2019). In 2021, due to the pandemic the conference was held virtually.

The 7th Underwater Acoustics Conference & Exhibition (UACE2023) will take place in Grecotel Filoxenia, in Kalamata, Greece

This year, the Conference will be dedicated to the memory of Prof. John S. Papadakis co-founder of this series of conferences who passed away in December 2022.
