Leif Bjørnø Award

To boost the interest in Underwater Acoustics a competition among graduate students on the presentation of the best papers was arranged, and awards presented at a ceremony at the end of the conference.

This year, Mr. Christopher Stockinger from The University of Texas at Austin received the Prof. Leif Bjørnø Best Student Paper Award for his paper titled "Modeling Low Frequency Wind-Generated Noise". The paper, co-authored by Wilson Preston and Hartman John, was presented during the "Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Monitoring and its Civil and Scientific Applications" session.
